Ilha dos Lobos is the only natural coastal island in Rio Grande do Sul and is part of a Wildlife Refuge. Of volcanic origin, it is a resting point for sea lions and fur seals on migratory routes, as well as coastal and oceanic birds.
Tourism must be responsible and follow conservation rules. When available, access happens through authorized kayak or stand up paddle experiences, with scheduling and proper guidance.
