About
Ponte Pênsil is a symbolic crossing over the Mampituba River, linking Torres, in Rio Grande do Sul, to Passo de Torres, in Santa Catarina. Before the concrete road bridges, it and the old ferry were important references connecting the two cities.
The visit is short and gives a good view of the river, the mouth and everyday life along the banks. On busy dates, follow access rules and any safety controls set by the municipalities.
