About

The Mampituba River marks the border between Rio Grande do Sul and Santa Catarina and is an essential part of the Torres landscape. Its name comes from Tupi-Guarani and is associated with the idea of a “river of many curves,” a reading that becomes clear from above.

The river rises in the highlands and reaches the Atlantic Ocean in Torres, creating areas for views, fishing, boating and riverside gastronomy. A visit pairs well with the jetties and Ponte Pênsil.
