About

The Molhes da Barra shape the mouth of the Mampituba River and are part of Torres' fishing, boating and tourism landscape. The structure was built to make boat entry and exit safer and to help control floods that happened in the past.

Today the revitalized area welcomes walks, recreational fishing, river watching and nighttime views of the illuminated city. It is a simple urban outing, especially pleasant on calm-sea days with good visibility.
